How it works
Does your agency need funds for equipment, technology, or personnel? Have you applied for grants but have been unsuccessful? Police grant writing will teach you the skills you need to bring grant funding to your agency. Our instructors are former law enforcement, graduate educated, and have experience working on millions of dollars worth of grants. If your agency or municipality has the capabilities of hosting a training at your facilities, you can sign up to receive two free seats in any of our courses that you are. All that is required is that at least 10 other participants attend at regular price. Police grant writing will take care of the rest. We will provide marketing materials and give you tips on how to recruit others to attend the course. We will handle billing, scheduling, and all other logistics. In addition, you and any of the participants are entitled to a 10% discount on our grant writing and grant reviewing and editing services. The process for hosting our training is detailed below. Keep in mind that we also offer discounted rates to state, county, and local government entities wishing to provide training to law enforcement agencies in their jurisdictions.
Step 1: Contact Police Grant Writing
To get started with hosting a training, you should contact us and let us know that you are interested. We can answer any questions and explain the process to you further. You should also decide which training course you wish to host.
Step 2: Set a Date
We typically schedule training for a couple of months after you contact us to allow for recruiting other participants.
Step 3: Recruit
After you have decided upon a date, we will work together to recruit others to attend. You should use your networks to publicize the opportunity regionally. Police Grant Writing will list your training on relevant police training websites and create a signup page on our website that you can disseminate to your contacts. Participants will have the opportunity to register and pay online or via invoice. In order for this process to be economically feasible, we require at least 10 participants to register, although we have hosted trainings in excess of 30 participants in the past. Once we have 10 registrations your course is locked in and we will make travel arrangements to deliver the course.
Step 4: Learn
Police grant writing’s instructor(s) will deliver the training on the set dates at your facilities. Each course is tailored to law enforcement, interactive, and innovative. Unlike other general grant writing courses, you will get specific examples of law enforcement grant opportunities, applications, and reviews. We will share tips and tricks on how to make your grant applications stand out in order to increase your odds of successfully securing local, state, federal, and foundation grants.
